Michael Campion, Ph.D.

Michael A. Campion is the Herman C. Krannert Chaired Professor of Management at Purdue University (since 1986). Previous industrial experience (1978-1986) includes 4 years each at IBM and Weyerhaeuser Company. He has an MS and PhD in industrial and organizational psychology. He has over 100 articles in scientific and professional journals, and has given over 200 presentations at professional meetings, on such topics as employment testing, interviewing, job analysis, work design, teams, training, turnover, promotion, and motivation. He is among the 10 most published authors in the top journals in his field for both the last three decades. He is past editor of Personnel Psychology (a scientific research journal) and past president of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. In 2009, he was promoted to the Herman C. Krannert Chaired Professorship for contributions and productivity in scientific research. He is also the 2010 winner of the Scientific Contribution Award given by the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, which is lifetime scientific contribution award and most prestigious award given by SIOP. He manages a small consulting firm (Campion Consulting Services) that has conducted over 400 projects for over 100 private and public sector organizations during the past 23 years on nearly all human resources topics. He also manages a small I/O recruiting firm (Campion Recruiting Services) that has placed over 60 I/O psychologists in a wide range of private and public sector organizations during the last 13 years.

Matthew H. Reider


Matt Reider, M.S.

 

Matthew H. Reider, M.S., has been active with Campion Services for over nine years in both recruiting and consulting. On the recruiting front, Mr. Reider serves as the Director of Recruiting to oversee all aspects of the recruiting process. He actively keeps in touch with a wide-ranging network of successful professionals in both Industrial/Organizational Psychology and Organizational Development. He has graduate training in Industrial and Organizational Psychology with research focused on individual and team selection, motivation and incentive systems, feedback, and surveys. He also has extensive training in statistics and measurement. Although Mr. Reider has completed his doctoral coursework in the field, he has left academia to focus on consulting full time after receiving his Masters. Still, he integrates current research into his consulting to ensure the most thorough and legally defensible personnel and human resources systems are created.
